FUNNY THOUGHTS

Thought 1 #

When we are born, our mother’s get the compliments and the flowers. When we
are married, our brides get the presents and the publicity. When we die,
our widows get the life insurance.

What do women want to be liberated from?

Thought 2 #

The average man’s life consists of :

Twenty years of having his mother ask him where he is going,

Forty years of having his wife ask the same question;

and at the end, the mourners wondering too. ..where he is going !!!!!

Thought 3 #

A Man was walking down a street when he heard a voice from behind, “If you
take one more step, a brick will fall down on your head and kill you.” The

man stopped and a big brick fell right in front of him. The man was
astonished.

He went on, and after a while he was going to cross the road. Once again the
voice shouted, “Stop! Stand still! If you take one more step a car will

run over you, and you will die.” The man did as he was instructed, just as a
car came careening around the corner, barely missing him.

The man asked. “Who are you?”

I am your guardian angel,” the voice answered.

“Oh, yeah?” the man asked “And where the hell were you when I got married?”

This is the best!!! Thought 4 #

Everyone in the wedding ceremony was watching the radiant bride as her
father escorted her down the aisle to give away to the groom. They reached

the altar and the waiting groom; the bride kissed her father and placed some
thing in his hand.

Everyone in the room was wondering what was given to the father by the
bride. The father could feel the suspense in the air and all eyes were on

him to divulge the secret and say something.

So he announced “Ladies and Gentlemen today is the luckiest day of my life.”

Then he raised his hands with what his daughter gave him and continued, “My
daughter finally, finally returned my credit card to me.”

The whole audience including priest started laughing……….but not the
poor groom!

GANDHIAN THOUGHTS

_______________________________________________________________

Happiness is when what you think, what
you say, and what you do are in harmony.

Faith is not something to grasp; it is a state to grow into.

Faith is the function of the heart.

Prayer is not an old woman’s idle amusement.
Properly understood and applied, it is the most potent instrument of action.

Prayer is not asking. It is a longing of the soul.

If I had no sense of humor, I should long ago have committed suicide.

Nonviolence is the first article of my faith. It is also the last article of my creed.

It is difficult but not impossible to conduct strictly honest business. . . . What
is true is that honesty is incompatible with the amassing of a large fortune.

It is better to be violent, if there is violence in our hearts,
than to put on the cloak of nonviolence to cover impotence.

There is a sufficiency in the world for man’s need
but not for man’s greed.

There’s more to life than increasing its speed.

God is the hardest taskmaster I have known on this earth, and he
tries you through and through. And when you find that your faith is
failing or your body is failing you, and you are sinking, he comes
to your assistance somehow or other and proves to you that you must
not lose your faith and that he is always at your beck and call,
but on his terms, not on your terms. So I have found. I cannot really
recall a single instance when, at the eleventh hour, he has forsaken me.

Let then our first act every morning be
to make the following resolve for the day:
I shall not fear anyone on earth.
I shall fear only God.
I shall not bear ill will toward anyone.
I shall not submit to injustice from anyone.
I shall conquer untruth by truth.
And in resisting untruth I shall put up with all suffering.

I have learnt through bitter experience the one supreme lesson
to conserve my anger, and as heat conserved is transmuted into energy,
even so our anger controlled can be transmuted into a power which can move the world.

I am not a visionary. I claim to be a practical idealist. The religion of non-violence
is not meant merely for the rishis [holy men] and saints. It is meant for the common
people as well. Non-violence is the law of our species as violence is the law of the brute.
The spirit lies dormant in the brute and he knows no law but that of physical might.
The dignity of man requires obedience to a higher law–the strength of the spirit. . . .
Non-violence in its dynamic condition means conscious suffering. It does not mean
meek submission to the will of the evil-doer, but it means the pitting of one’s whole
soul against the will of the tyrant. Working under this law of our being, it is possible
for a single individual to defy the whole might of an unjust empire to save his honor,
his religion, his soul and lay the foundation for that empire’s fall or regeneration.

THOUGHTS ON NATURE

On Consumption and Happiness

The earth provides enough to satisfy every man’s needs, but not every man’s greed.

A certain degree of physical harmony and comfort is necessary, but above a certain level it becomes hindrance instead of help. Therefore the ideal of creating an unlimited number of wants and satisfying them seems to be a delu- sion and a snare.

Man falls from the pursuit of the ideal of plain-living and high-thinking the moment he wants to multiply his daily wants. Man’s happiness really lies in contentment.

On Other Species

It is an arrogant assumption to say that human beings are lords and masters of the lower creatures. On the contrary, being endowed with greater things in life, they are the trustees of the lower animal kingdom.

Wildlife is decreasing in the jungles, but it is increasing in the towns.

A society can be judged by the way it treats its animals.

On Nature

We may utilize the gifts of Nature just as we choose but in Her books, the debits are always equal to the credits.

I need no inspiration other than Nature’s. She has never failed me yet. She mystifies me, bewilders me, sends me into ecstasies. Besides God’s handiwork, does not man fade into insignificance?

When I admire the wonders of a sunset or the beauty of the moon, my soul expands in the worship of the creator.

On the Human Self

Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from indomitable will.

Nature has implanted in the human breast ability to cope with any difficulty or suffering that may come to man unprovoked.

Whenever you are in doubt or when the self becomes too much with you, apply the following test: Recall the face of the poorest and weakest man you may have seen and ask yourself if the step you contemplate is going to be of any use to him. Will he gain anything by it? Will it restore him to control over his own life and destiny? In other words, will it lead to Swaraj (self-rule) for the hungry and spiritually starving millions? Then you will find your doubts and your self melting away.

Live as if u were to die tommorrow.

Learn as if you were to live for ever

Men often become what they believe themselves to be. If I believe I cannot do something, it makes me incapable of doing it.
But when I believe I can, then I acquire the ability to do it even if I didn’t have it in the beginning.

Don’t go the way life takes you
Take the life the way you
go
And remember you are born to live and
not living because you are born.

If you want something you never had, do something you have never done.

money is an antenna with which human bird loses it capacity to fly….

“Don’t be afraid your life will end, be afraid it will never begin”

“I always knew looking back at the Tearz wud make me laugh but i never knew looking back at the Smiles wud make me cry”

“I HAVE LEARNT THAT POSITION CAN NOT BE MEASURED BY THE POSITION THAT ONE HAS ACHIEVED IN HIS LIFE SO BY OBSTACLES THAT HE HAS OVERCOME IN TRYING TO BECOME A SECCESSFUL PERSON”

“Once you’ve gotten the meaning, you can forget the words.”

some times one dream is enough to light the whole sky
